Oxfordshire County Council
are currently looking for more
foster carers in your area
Foster children vary in age from babies to teenagers. Every child’s story is
different, but what they all need is security, stability and the opportunity to
achieve their full potential. These children need the security of ordinary family
life until they can return to their parents or, if this is not possible, to live with
either an adoptive family or foster family in their forever home.
Thinking about fostering?
Foster carers work closely with parents, social workers and other professionals
supporting families, rebuilding relationships and shaping children’s lives. All
foster carers receive allowances and an excellent support and training package
to enable you to make a real difference to these vulnerable children.
Thinking about adoption?
Sadly some children may miss out on adoption – older children, children with
disabilities and brothers and sisters. We are looking for adoptive families who
can be flexible about their wishes for adoption and we consider if you could
be the difference to children waiting for a family. You will receive training and
support to help you prepare for adoption and this support is continued for as
long as you feel it is needed.
Could you shape a child’s life?
We think you could and encourage you
to find out more now.
