Carterton Crier Issue 1 web - page 3

welcome
The Carterton Crier is your magazine and is delivered into every
home in Carterton. Whilst it is the inspiration of the Town Council,
this publication wouldn’t exist without the vital contributions of
the groups, organisations and institutions within Carterton, or the
incredible characters past and present who have created our town’s
unique identity. Think of it like this; you’re in your local surrounded by
all manner of people from the area. There’s the elderly bloke at the bar
who always has a story to tell, the old friend who moved away and has
come back after ages, the people from this group or that organisation,
this neighbour, that policeman, stories, advice, personalities…then
imagine it embedded in a magazine – that’s the Carterton Crier. It
stands to reason that this publication will be a great way to find out
what’s going on in a place that is rapidly changing.
You must be aware that the team behind the Crier are totally at your
disposal. Email or call with anything you think would contribute to the
editorial of it. We want to know what your group or organisation has
coming up so please tell us.
We have been lucky enough to meet, greet, and be supported by some
amazing people whilst putting this mag together. Thank you all. We
hope you enjoy the fruits of our labours as much as we’ve enjoyed
working with you.
