Christmas is nearly upon us and
that can only mean one thing...
pantomime! This year Carterton’s
amateur dramatics group, Acting
Community Thingumybogs,
present Not Quite Sleeping
Beauty.
Come along and boo, hiss, clap,
cheer and laugh as we follow
Prince Hero and his unlucky
sidekick Brian as they try and
rescue the beautiful princess
from her eternal sleep! Will they
succeed in thwarting the evil
Fairy Carabosse? Will Prince Hero
ever discover the identity of the
mysterious girl in the forest? Will
Nanny Gaga be able to drink
enough coffee to stay awake?
Packed with songs, slapstick,
silliness and fairytale magic for the
whole family!
Performances are at Carterton
Community College on Friday
11 December (7pm), Saturday 12
December (2pm & 7pm) & Sunday
13 December (2pm).
Tickets are on sale from Mon 2
November, priced at £6 each,
from Wreal Sports in Carterton
Town Centre.
All profits from our productions
go to Save the Children Fund to
help disadvantaged children in
this country and abroad.
2016 Events
Our Table Top & Car Boot Sales
will return. Dates being: Saturday 13
February, 12 March, 10 September
& 8 October. We open from 9am
-12noon. Table/pitch costs £5
Private, £10 Trade. Please call to
book your place. Admission to
public is free and the café will be
open for refreshments.
We are planning to hold our annual
Carterton Wedding Fayre in May –
date yet to be confirmed. Christmas
Craft & Gift Fair will be held on
Saturday 3 December 2016 (10am-
4pm).
We have plenty of regular activities
held at the centre that include lots
of different exercise classes, martial
arts, dance & music, baby & toddler
sessions, counselling, weight loss
& nutritional groups, local church
group, and over 50’s group. We are
also a venue for the National Blood
Service which has various dates
booked throughout the year if you
would like to give blood.
