is an independent initiative.
We shape our service around
the needs of our users.
We provide inclusive, sociable learning and leisure to people aged 18+
all year round. During school and college holidays* we offer activities to
people aged 13+ too.
With us everyone can learn skills in cooking, gardening, computing, arts
and dancing.
We have our own kitchen, and promote healthy eating and nutrition.
Service users grow produce in our garden. They learn to cook with what
they grow, and get to eat it too! Everyone can learn at their own pace, and
enjoy being challenged by new things.
We provide a mixture of learning and leisure including days out, table
football, air hockey, a pool table, a separate music room, and a sensory
room.
We are fully equipped with computers, iPads, and internet access. We have
our own large projector screen for movies and karaoke nights. In our main
hall, we hold weekly dance, arts, and sports groups.
Our fully accessible centre with great facilities makes life easier, and we
have a full-size electric changing bed and hoist.
With our own accessible mini bus, we travel out and about to leisure
facilities in the community, including weekly swimming sessions and
bowling.
