Rose Collis brings her acclaimed one-woman musical
cabaret show to Plymouth Central Library, as part of
an Arts Council-funded tour for LGBT History Month
2016.
‘Trouser-Wearing Characters’ is the first ever musical
cabaret show written and performed by a British female
author. This original entertainment, written and
performed by one of Sussex’s favourite personalities, is a
unique mixture of music, history and comedy.
It combines stories, vignettes and songs about some of
her favourite, eclectic LGBT ‘trouser-wearing characters’,
from Nancy Spain to Colonel Barker, stage legend
Dougie Byng to the ‘f**king lady’ herself, Coral Browne.
The original production was directed by Matt Thompson,
2016 version directed by Kinny Gardner B.C.A.a
All performances will be followed by informal Q&A
sessions with Rose Collis and opportunities to buy books
by her.
