Cotswold Flower Club
We are a group of like- minded people who
have a great interest in arranging flowers.
On the first Wednesday of each month
we meet in the WI Hall in Carterton at
7.30pm. Usually, we are treated to an
inspiring demonstration of five or six flower
arrangements by a visiting Flower Arranger.
These displays may range from something
suitable for a hall table at home, to a large
pedestal for a church, and everything
in between.
The demonstrator gives us useful tips and
advice throughout the evening which,
hopefully, inspires us to go home and try
something for ourselves.
Twice a year we hold a practical evening
when we roll up our sleeves and work to
produce our own design under the eye
of a tutor. These are great fun evenings
and everyone learns so much. All the
evenings finish with refreshments and the
arrangements are raffled.
Once a year, in the winter, we hold an open
evening when a renowned demonstrator
comes along to show us beautiful
arrangements for Christmas. This is always a
magical evening.
This year it will be held on Friday 18th
November in Brownes Hall. Tickets are £8.00
and can be purchased on the door or at a
Flower Club meeting. This is a very popular
evening and we recommend you buy your
tickets early,
Members of the club arrange fresh flowers for
the Town Hall foyer each week and for various
other public occasions.
