Founded in 1920, Swansea is a research led University,
with a community that thrives on exploration and
discovery, and offers the right balance of excellent
teaching and research.
The University has a strong research led portfolio
across many disciplines, with particularly strengths
in Engineering and strong links with industry as well
as in Medicine. Swansea University has an ambitious
development strategy and has recently secured
£90 million funding to develop a new Science and
Innovation campus which will open in 2015.
