Headquarters are in
Kempston, Bedford
with stations at
Bedford, Luton,
Biggleswade, Risely, Leagrave, Dunstable, Leighton
Buzzard, Houghton Regis & Ampthill.
Remit
Bedfordshire Police is the third smallest force in
the country but polices one of the most diverse.
Bedfordshire has two main towns, Bedford and Luton
and the remainder of the county is mainly rural.
Bedfordshire Police are committed to providing
the best quality service to promote a safe and just
environment which reassures members of the public
that they can live and go confidential about their
lawful business. Our strategic aims are: Reassuring the
public, reducing crime, managing operational demand,
delivering through partnership, excelling in community
and race relations. In the past twenty years the Police
Service has been under pressure to new legislation
and increasing demands from the public we serve. The
response to these demands by our staff is something of
which we can justly be proud.
