Anti-Bullying Week
17th-21st November
Every year the Anti-Bullying Alliance coordinate national Anti-Bullying Week; a week
where children and young people, schools, parents and carers come together with one aim: to
stop bullying for all.
This year, organisers are calling on the school community to take action to stop the bullying
of ALL children and young people – including disabled children and those with special
educational needs – children who are significantly more likely to experience bullying in
schools and the wider community.
This year, the Anti-bulling Alliance is running a song competition for primary and secondary
schools. The task is to create a two verse and one chorus song, rap or poem about a good
online friend. You can also write a two verse and one chorus song or rap about cyberbullying.
There is also a fundraising competition which awards twenty books to the school, service or
youth group that come up with the most innovative way to raise funds for the work of Anti-
Bullying Week.
