Community is a
modern and progressive
trade union. We are an
aspirational organisation and our resources are dedicated to making our
members’ lives and their communities better.
With our roots in the UK’s industrial towns
– from the carpet industry in Kidderminster
to the leather producers of Scotland to the
steel belt of South Wales - we have a long
history of representing working people.
But as the UK has changed, the union has
changed. Now we are reaching out into our
communities with a growing membership in
new areas, sectors and industries and with
a campaigning focus aimed to improve the
lives of our members and their loved ones.
Our approach is driven by our mission to
create better communities. That’s why we
were proud to recently work in partnership
with the Equality Network to support their
It’s Time video campaign in support of Equal
Marriage.

progress through life both inside and outside
the workplace. No matter where you work,
