Homegrown Music
Festival returns for a
second year
Back to basics, back to the fun, The Homegrown Music Festival
is in its second year and there are two locations this year, East
Anglia and Oxfordshire. Next year 6 locations are planned already,
but why? What is so special?
Homegrown Music Festival was conceived not to follow the
current festival practice but to go back to the music. The site is
crammed with the best of the region’s musicians and bands... and
organisers are expecting, thousands of partying fans feeling the
music and enjoying one of the best weekends of this summer!
The Homegrown Music Festival’s choice of acts celebrate and
showcase ONLY bands from Oxfordshire and surrounding areas
or bands that have a solid connection to the area. The fields of
Homegrown will be filled with music of all types, played by artists
who you’ve seen on TV, may have been signed to a label, close
to a deal or who are simply good enough to entertain the music
loving crowd.
Ticket prices are attractive, low cost, yet organisers still provide
quality facilities. Importantly, the festival organisers DON’T hike
the beer or food prices up just because it’s a festival. Beer prices
are £3 a pint - less than in most pubs. It’s the same with food,
and, unlike some other festivals, Homegrown actually makes
an effort to provide you quality and value with the food they
prepare. Their vendors provide quality food and other vendors
supplying crafts, clothes and other unusual goods.
Come, join in, have some fun! Homegrown is great for anyone
that loves local bands, enjoys live music, has never experienced
a festival before, or for those who want to take their family to a
safe and low cost day out with loads to do for the kids.
