1
Salt spray
The best tip for festival hair is to keep it looking
natural. Add texture and mattify your hair with a
sea salt spray.
Simply spritz the spray all over your hair for a
wavy, effortless look.
6
Headband
Wearing a headband or bandana will not only
make you look festival ready but it will also hide
a bad hair day.
Try a floral bandana for the day and mix it up
with a metallic headscarf at night.
2
Gel nails
Bright nails make a playful statement at festivals
but they can look a mess when they start to chip.
Switch your usual nail paint for a nail gel. Gel
nails have been proven to last up to two weeks
without chipping so they should stay looking
perfect for the entire weekend.
Book an appointment in the salon the day before
the festival or do it yourself with an LED nail
lamp, some gel nail polish and a sealer to achieve
a salon professional look.
Gel nails are available in a range of colours. Try a
coral shade for some summer fun or be bold in
black for a rock chick look.

SPF Foundation
We all hope for hot summer weather when at a
festival and if you’re fortunate enough to have a
weekend in the heat, sun protection is essential.
A foundation with an SPF is a festival must. It will
not only make your skin look flawless but will
also double up as sun tan lotion for your face.
There are lots of foundations with an added SPF
at the moment and the higher the factor, the
better it will be for your skin.
3
Dry shampoo
Going to a festival can mean spending five days
in a field without a shower. Dry shampoo will
absorb the grease in your hair and add volume to
the roots so there will be no need for you to join
the mile-long queue for the shower.
Simply spray the shampoo on your roots, wait for
around 30 seconds and rub it off.
8
Waterproof mascara
Where there is a festival, there is usually rain so
a waterproof mascara is advisable to prevent
panda eyes.
Waterproof mascara does not run so your lashes
will stay looking luscious for longer.
4
Wax
Shorts are a popular look for a festival but how
can you still wear them when it gets to day
three? The answer is wax.
Before you go to a festival book yourself in for a
wax to get rid of any unwanted body hair. That
way, you will not have to worry about having to
dry shave any hair after just a few days of fun.
Alternatively, grab yourself a DIY wax kit. This will
save you money and you will still get a smooth
long lasting finish.

Sun protection for hair
Sun can make your hair dry and discoloured. The
best way to tackle this is by using sun protecting
hair products.
The specially formulated hair care products have
protecting and restoring formulas that keep your
hair looking healthy and full of shine. Try a spray
for quick application and apply a replenishing
masque for a deep treatment after the festival.
5
Tinted lip balm
Chapped lips are a common festival problem.
Spending all of your time outdoors partying
and enjoying the sun is bound to leave them
dehydrated and dry.
A tinted lip balm will moisturize your lips while
adding a dash of colour to brighten up your
makeup look.
10
Eye shadow
Festivals are a time to get creative – anything
goes. Experiment with some bright eye shadow.
A thin line under the lower lashes will add a flash
of colour, or if you are feeling daring blend two
colours over your eyelids to make your eyes
stand out from the crowd.
