Maureen Gillespie, born in Ireland now residing in Oxfordshire.
Her love of the countryside and sea have inspired her to produce
paintings with depth, vivid colour and movement. A number of her
paintings stem from an exploration and images of the undergrowth;
visualising the beginnings of life on the riverbed or the fields.
Maureen’s style is semi abstract, using paint directly onto a canvas
with a pallet knife or fingers. Maureen’ s studio will be open during
Oxfordshire Artworks.
