Improvements have been made to the car park, doubling the number of parking spaces and these were
all filled on the day. A smart new entrance displays both homegrown shrubs – Rupert Gooddy Plants Ltd
has been growing for over 35 years – and spectacular specimen trees and palms recently sourced from
Italy.
The greenhouse is now a welcoming, all weather display of herbaceous perennials and alpines as well as
space for the stunning selection of summer bedding plants which Bampton Garden Plants are renowned
for.
Visitors to the nursery were treated to complimentary home made nibbles with tea and coffee, all
provided by local restaurant Biztro and served in the newly created atrium, set out with stylish garden art
and furniture – another new line at Bampton Garden Plants. The new garden shop is well stocked with
all things garden – from tools and fertilisers to gloves and boots, as well as seeds and tastefully selected
rustic garden gifts.
Bampton Garden Plants relaunch saw the introduction of the new design and landscaping service, headed
up by our Landscape Manager Olly Wills. Olly has been working for Bampton Garden Plants for 8 years
and comes from a landscaping background, so he is highly experienced and will be on hand to advise and
assist clients to create their perfect garden.
One thing that hasn’t changed is the team of staff; most of whom have been at the nursery for many
years. They are always available to offer planting advice and answer gardening questions. They have
been joined by a new Garden Centre Manager; Mr John Hart, who will be using his extensive horticultural
knowledge and retail experience to take Bampton Garden Plants forward.
Everyone associated with Bampton Garden Plants was absolutely thrilled with the success of the relaunch
and hopes that visitors will continue to enjoy the changes and improvements that have been made.
