Carterton’s May Day Fair & Car Boot Sale
2nd May
Save the Children’s annual May Day Fair & Car Boot Sale is from 11am on
Carterton’s recreation ground and in Brownes Hall. This year’s fete will be the
biggest and most exciting one to date…with attractions such as a laser tag game,
fun fair rides (such as a climbing wall, swingboats, roundabouts and bouncy
slide), petting animals, refreshments (namely ice creams, jacket potatoes, candy
floss & crepes), go-karts, a vintage car display, a scarecrow trail and smash-a-
plate. Also don’t forget to bring your dog along to enter them into the dog show
(run by K9 Playtime Academy). There will also be a large car boot sale and lots
of charity and commercial stalls including a craft marquee with businesses selling
jewellery, cosmetics and craft items. It’s free entry so come along for a fun filled
afternoon! (Car boot sellers’ entry to the field is 10-10.30am and there is no need
to prior book a car boot pitch).
