At Bournemouth Borough Council
we will ensure everyone will
have equal access to our
services, be socially inclusive in
all our functions and activities,
be transparent in all we do and
value our customers and staff.
Bournemouth has a cosmopolitan social
environment which attracts over five million
visitors each year.
As the largest employer in Bournemouth
- and as Stonewall Workplace Equality Champions -
we pride ourselves on valuing our staff. We
appreciate their wide range of skills and abilities
which helps us to deliver our services.
We respect each of our residents and visitors
and value the diversity of our communities.
We rise to the challenges diversity brings and
relish the opportunities it creates.
We’re out as an
equal opportunities employer!
Decades
This year’s theme, being the 10th year of
Bourne Free, will be ‘Decades’. This theme
can be interpreted in as many ideas as you
can think of for theming your costume or
float for the parade.
The dates for Bourne Free 2014 are confirmed as Friday
11th July to Sunday 13th July, with the parade on Saturday 12th July from
noon starting on top of the East Cliff (by the East Cliff lift), making its way through the
town and arriving at The Triangle at 12 noon.
Sam Johnson Equality
and Diversity Manager for
Bournemouth Borough council
says, “we are delighted to once
again support Bourne Free now
celebrating its tenth anniversary,
this is a fun filled inclusive
event that brings communities
together and makes a positive
contribution celebrating the
diversity of our town!”
