Oxford Gun Company
Starting with the guns themselves, the
company’s well stocked gun shop holds
everything you need from shotguns, rifles
to air weapons. Staff at the shop will also
offer you all the help you need to choose
the right gun for you, whether it is your
first or a top quality piece of precision
equipment. Staff will be on-hand to ensure
that the gun fits and is exactly what you
need. As well as brand new guns, there is
also always a large second hand stock to
look through too.
Run in conjunction with the Oxford Gun
Company is Oxford Country Clothing. On
offer is a full range of clothing for game
shooting, clay shooting and all country sports.
The range covers men, ladies and children
and staff are passionate about all country
activities. Friendly advice is always on hand
to help you choose the correct clothing for
your sports and activities. The shop stocks
top brands such as Dubarry, Harkila, Seeland
AIGLE, Browning, Musto, Toggi and Hunter,
among others. A good range of accessories,
from hats to cartridge bags, is also stocked.
Shooting School
Once you have got your equipment sorted,
the Oxford Gun Company’s shooting school
can offer you expert coaching, at whatever
level you shoot. The award winning school
provides a relaxed environment and employs
friendly and experienced coaches. The
shooting ground itself has been laid out
on the banks of a brook and many of the
shooting stands are reached by crossing
rustic bridges. All-weather stands have been
carefully designed to encourage the beginner
or to provide a serious challenge to the more
experienced shot. You can choose from one-
to-one instruction, one day courses, masters
courses, brush-up sessions, ladies courses
or have-a-go days.

The Schools Challenge, the largest young
shots’ organisation in the UK. The Schools

The Schools Challenge – Oxford is the first
competition of the season and also hosts
extra activities such as 4X4 off-roading. An
addition to the programme in 2008 was the
Brendon Festival of Shooting (5th May) held
at Brendon School, Tewkesbury. Events
run all the way from March to December
at the school and include practice days,
novice school instruction days and the
Schools Challenge Winter Series as well as
a Game Day in December. And the newest
addition to the programme is the University
Championship, which creates the opportunity
for Universities to come together and
shoot against each other in a light hearted
competition. Alongside the competition,
