Pick the Orchard Centre for your Summer delights.
Oxfordshire’s favourite place to shop will keep the whole family occupied this Summer with glittery
summer sun catchers and festival crowns being just some of the craft items children can make at the
Orchard Centre this summer.
Two free workshops are being held by Creation Station on August 14 and 21 starting at 11am where
children can have fun creating colourful sun catchers with multi-coloured tissue paper, pipe cleaners,
glitter and bells and make their own festival crowns using leaves, beads and feathers.
Creations Station workshops have proved popular at the Orchard Centre with the most recent one
helping youngsters get into the World Cup spirit by making a clay replica of their favourite player and
children and adults could also test their skills with a penalty shoot out challenge. A football freestyler
was the highlight demonstrating a range of ‘keepy uppy’ skills and inviting everyone to have a go
themselves.
The Orchard Centre’s shops are geared up for a fabulous summer with fashion for all ages, ideas for
the home and everything from gadgets to daily essentials. The centre has 30 stores including Argos,
Sainsbury’s and Next as well as a café, restaurant and a 500-space car park where parking is free for the
first two hours.
There is a monthly Thames Valley Farmers Market and Didcot Street Fair hold a monthly market on
Sundays.
