embracing diversity….
committed to equality
Cambridge City Council is committed to promoting equality and
diversity in all that we do.
Cambridge is a diverse city with a wide range of different communities.
This diversity enriches and vitalises our city making it a place where
people want to live, work and play.
As a Council we seek to eradicate discrimination and disadvantage in our
city. We want all our citizens to participate fully in community life and
share in the City’s success.
In our equalities and diversity work we aim to celebrate the richness
that differences in culture and life experience bring to our city through
organising or supporting events and activities. We acknowledge the
contribution of our different communities to the life of the city through
our support of events such as Black History Month, LGBT History Month,
Disability History Month and International Women’s Day. Together we aim
to make Cambridge a better place for us all.
