Pride in London Welcome to the new Pride
in London. We’re taking
a fresh look at what Pride
should be for London and
plan over the next five years
to build it into the most exciting and influential event of
its kind in Europe and a beacon to the world.
This year our theme is Love (and Marriage) and we’re celebrating not only the
achievement of equal marriage but also the love and support that exist within
and between the LGBT+ community and their friends and families. We want
this to be truly a community Pride and to reflect the best that LGBT+ London
has to offer.
There’s a great range of things to do during Pride Week
from 23 to 30 June and beyond and of course the highlight
is Pride day itself, Saturday 29 June. On that day we
close down Europe’s busiest shopping streets for a
colourful celebration of the LGBT+ community
and our achievements in a parade bringing
together 10,000 marchers. There’s
entertainment in Trafalgar Square
and Soho and our music festival
in conjunction with Summer
Rites – Pride in the Park in
Shoreditch and official after
parties across London.
