Diversity matters
and we value it
Work for us
Victim Support is an independent
charity that has been helping victims
and witnesses for 40 years. We
provide a wide range of outstanding
services to thousands of people
affected by crime.
We have opportunities all over
England and Wales for you to join
Victim Support and make a big
difference to the lives of people
affected by crime. If you’re looking for
the next challenging and rewarding
step in your career we can give you
training, opportunities and a great
working environment.
We pride ourselves on the work we
do in local communities and our
provision of accessible and consistent
services across the country. This
helps us reach out to people in need,
whatever their circumstances.

Rainbow Bridge recognises the different
abuse tactics that may occur within an LGBT
relationship, and furthermore recognises the
barriers to engaging with support and criminal
justice services. Some of these differences are
highlighted here:
• Threats to out their sexual orientation or
gender identity
• Prevention from attending LGBT spaces/
making LGBT support networks
• Convinces them that this is ‘normal’ and is
what happens in an LGBT relationship
• Prevention from transitioning
• Reinforces fears and doubts that support
and criminal justice agencies are homo/bi/
transphobic
The support we offer is needs led and a risk
and needs assessment is completed after initial
contact with the victim. We support low – high
risk victims of domestic abuse as the project
manager is currently being IDVA (Independent
Domestic Violence Advisor) trained. We work
with victims of domestic abuse from intimate
partner relationships and familial abuse.
