The day will also feature Family Area, Community
Zone, Food & Market Stalls, Cabaret Stage and a
special Performance Tent taking over Castle Park
in central Bristol.
Acts already announced include Bristol talent that
have seen national success such as Jelli Records
Bashema, Wildflowers and Anttix alongside
other national artists such as girl band Vanquish,
Xfactor’s Ruth Lorenzo and ‘I Wanna Give You
Devotion’ rap star MC Mikee. We’re keeping a
tight lid on our headline acts for the Day Festival

Bristol Pride has been growing year on year and
brings thousands of people to the city which boosts
the economy but organisers want to keep Pride a
free event for all to attend and enjoy so the team all
work as volunteers, juggling day jobs and dodging
nights out to work.
Bristol Pride really relies on the support from
sponsors and donations from the public! They are
asking businesses to support Pride and for those that
can afford it to buy a supporter wristband which is
just £5 which will get them discounts onsite on food
and at the bar. Some of the money will also support
Bristol pride’s 2013 charity The Albert Kennedy
Trust.
Attracting high profile support from celebrities
such as Stephen Fry, Graham Norton, Matt
Lucas and Catherine Johnson, Bristol Pride is a
bold celebration of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and
transgender (LGBT) community across the South
West and is the chance for community to come
together to show support and to demonstrate to
those that at times feel isolated, lonely or bullied
that they are not alone.
